i got a bbq tomorrow and i wanna take some pictures with my friends tips on how to get good photos?
Now lets see if anyone can try and answer this
my Pictures when i take them they come out good but the lighting is usally not perfect any tips they always come out good
And if it helps i have a Kodak m1093Is digital Camera
Also If anyone knows anything about my camera can anyone tell me my camera settings and what settings they should be at
I’m just going to take some general educated guesses here. I will bet that many of your photos are being taken in sunlight at the worse times of the day. Early morning and late afternoon hours are truly the only times when outdoor photos will really look good… UNLESS, it is an overcast day. An overcast day gives nice, even, diffused light and is YOUR FRIEND! A bright, sunny day around 3 hours before and 3 hours after noon is an awful time. Colors will be washed out and there is harsh shadows and extreme contrasts with which your camera cannot cope.
If during your bbq it is a sunny day, try to avoid any photos under direct sun. Move your subjects to a shady area. Use the flash on your camera to fill in shadows.
There are no magic “settings” that will take care of things. In your case, you will probably do best to just leave it in Program mode and be watchful of the light under which you are shooting. You can also hope for an overcast day. If that happens, still use your flash, but set it at reduced power. You just want a hint of fill flash to take out shadows in eye sockets and put catch-lights in the eyes to avoid the “dead eye” look.
